CNC Lathe Operator Job Description
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience operating CNC lathes. This role involves precision machining, fabricating parts according to specifications, and ensuring quality control throughout the production process. The CNC Lathe Operator will work closely with engineers and other team members to meet production goals while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC lathes to produce high-quality components based on technical drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine machining operations required for each job.
- Utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers and gauges to ensure accuracy of machined parts.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot any mechanical issues that arise.
- Fabricate components using power tools and welding techniques as needed.
- Assemble parts according to engineering specifications, ensuring proper fit and function.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various types of machinery.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks or similar CAD software is a plus.
- Experience with welding, fabrication, and the use of power tools is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
