JobSummary:
Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload and move materials and products. Make labels and attach to goods. Maintain and organize inventory. Operate computerized inventory control systems.
Duties
- Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment including forklift.
- Perform other material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents
- Record shortages and reject damaged goods
- Unpack, code, and route incoming goods to appropriate storage area
- Record all inventory discrepancies to appropriate personnel
- Maintain and clean working area
- Assemble necessary equipment
- Other duties as decided by supervisor
Experience
- Prior experience in warehouse operations is beneficial
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks
- Experience with operating forklifts, reach trucks, and cranes is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
