Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Brake Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining press brake machines to produce high-quality metal components. This role requires mechanical aptitude, precision, and adherence to safety standards to ensure efficient production and product integrity. Prior experience with CNC machinery and manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
Duties
- Operate press brake machines to bend and shape metal sheets according to blueprints and specifications
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics for accurate fabrication
- Set up and adjust CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, and other related equipment as needed
- Perform CNC programming tasks to ensure precise cuts and bends
- Use hand tools, calipers, and other measurement devices for quality inspection and verification of parts
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery, including lubrication and calibration
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with press brake or related equipment to minimize downtime
- Assist with welding, assembly, or other manufacturing processes as required
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following safety protocols
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, and CNC programming is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately
- Proficiency in using hand tools, calipers, and performing quality inspections
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during setup and production processes
- Familiarity with welding, machining, assembly, and the use of hand tools is a plus
- Ability to work safely around cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment in a manufacturing setting
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control standards
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
