The Alberta Human Rights Commission is responsible for carrying out work under the Alberta Human Rights Act, including protecting human rights. The Commission provides information about human rights in Alberta.

Reporting to the Chief of the Commission and Tribunals, Alberta Human Rights Commission, you will provide strategic leadership and ensure the effective business operations of the Commission. This will include supporting the Director of the Commission, the Tribunal and the Communication, Education and Engagement branches. As Executive lead you will provide strategic leadership, direction and coordination of a broad range of strategic planning, governance, policy, project management and administrative services for the commission. This includes business and operational planning and reporting and business continuity. As a key leader in the commission, you will lead the overall administration including budget and forecasting, compliance review, service excellence and maintain positive stakeholder relationships. Contributing as a member of the senior leadership team and providing sound advice to the Chief will be key to the achievement of corporate goals.
Your background includes extensive related senior business management. You are an autonomous, hands‑on leader who confidently makes independent decisions, provides clear direction, drives team performance, and delivers results through a practical, vision‑led leadership approach. Exceptional administrative, and operations management, governance, budgets and finance, communication and relationship building skills are critical for working collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders. Your demonstrated skills in system thinking, strategic business planning, and human and fiscal resource management will set a course for the success of the Alberta Human Rights Commission. A related degree is preferred.
$5,896.65 to $7,749.28 biweekly ($153,902.57 to $202,256.21 yearly)
Travel within the province will be required as part of your responsibilities.
