Boat Lift Technician AssistantJoin the Shoreline Team
Do you enjoy working outdoors, solving mechanical problems, and working around the water? Shoreline Pile Driving & Wharf Construction Ltd. is seeking a motivated Boat Lift Technician Assistant to help install, service, repair, and maintain boat lift systems throughout the Okanagan.
This is a hands-on position that offers variety, technical challenges, and the opportunity to work on some of the region's most unique waterfront projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of boat lift systems
- Understand project requirements and prepare for upcoming installations and service calls
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues
- Diagnose equipment failures and recommend solutions
- Provide professional customer service during site visits
- Coordinate workflow with project schedules and organize service appointments
- Prepare service take-offs and documentation for invoicing
- Follow all company safety procedures and field protocols
- Manage boat lift parts and inventory
- Work closely with office and field teams to ensure projects run smoothly
- Complete detailed service reports and maintenance records
Qualifications & Skills
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting experience
- Experience with hydraulic and electric pump systems is considered an asset
- Ability to diagnose, test, repair, and service technical equipment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable using mobile devices, apps, and digital reporting systems
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Reliable, thorough, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license required
