Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Refrigeration Mechanic with a Red Seal certification and Gas B certification. This position is pivotal in leading our team and ensuring the successful execution of projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a passion for educating others, exceptional organizational skills, the ability to work under various stressors and environmental conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements.
- Source and procure necessary equipment and materials.
- Prepare detailed and accurate quotes for clients.
- Lead the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and light commercial heating, cooling, gas and refrigeration systems.
- Oversee a team of technicians, providing guidance and mentorship.
- Ensure all work meets high standards of quality and safety.
- Educate customers on system operations and maintenance.
- Manage project timelines and ensure timely completion.
- Handle customer billing and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Red Seal certification as a Refrigeration Mechanic.
- Gas B certification.
- TECA courses in HRV design and installation, Principles of Moving Air, Forced Air Guidelines, Heat Loss/Heat Gain, and Ventilation Guidelines (required).
- Proven experience in residential and light commercial heating, cooling, gas fitting and refrigeration maintenance, repairs, and installations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (both hot and cold environments).
- Commitment to high-quality workmanship and customer service.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
