Job Summary
Stay at Home Elevating Services is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven, and client-focused Home Accessibility Sales & Project Consultant to join our growing team. This is a highly proactive role that combines consultative sales, business development, project coordination, and technical problem-solving. While qualified leads are provided, the successful candidate will also be expected to actively generate new business by building referral networks, developing community relationships, networking with industry professionals, and identifying new sales opportunities throughout Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.
In this role, you will meet with homeowners, businesses, contractors, healthcare professionals, and care providers to assess accessibility needs and recommend customized mobility and accessibility solutions. Our company specializes in stairlifts, wheelchair lifts, home elevators, accessibility renovations, ramps, and barrier-free home modifications that help people live safely and independently.
Success in this position comes from building trust, developing long-term relationships, and guiding clients through every stage of the process—from the initial consultation and solution design to project completion. The ideal candidate is personable, self-motivated, organized, solution-oriented, and comfortable working independently in both residential and commercial environments. Experience in construction, renovations, accessibility equipment, healthcare, or technical sales is considered a strong asset.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities through networking, relationship building, cold outreach, referrals, and community engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, case managers, builders, contractors, seniors' organizations, retirement communities, and other referral partners
- Generate qualified leads by regularly visiting referral sources, attending networking events, and identifying opportunities within the community
- Meet with clients on-site to assess mobility, accessibility, and home modification needs
- Recommend appropriate accessibility solutions including stairlifts, wheelchair lifts, home elevators, ramps, and related renovations
- Prepare estimates, quotations, and project proposals
- Conduct in-home consultations, product demonstrations, and explain technical information in an easy-to-understand manner
- Follow up consistently with prospective clients, quotations, referral partners, and ongoing projects to maximize conversion rates
- Coordinate with project managers, technicians, contractors, electricians, and suppliers throughout the sales and installation process
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients and referral partners through exceptional customer service
- Assist clients with funding resources, grant programs, and product options where applicable
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, lead generation efforts, and project updates within the company's CRM system
- Stay informed on industry products, accessibility standards, competitors, and market trends
- Represent the company professionally at trade shows, networking events, educational seminars, and community outreach opportunities
- Work independently to achieve sales targets while contributing to the continued growth and visibility of the company
Qualifications
- Experience in sales, estimating, project coordination, construction, renovations, or accessibility equipment is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and client relationships simultaneously
- Comfortable learning technical products and construction-related processes
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Experience reading drawings, measuring spaces, or assessing construction conditions is considered an asset
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout Vancouver Island and surrounding areas
- Proficiency with computers, email communication, and basic office software
- Compassionate and client-focused attitude with a genuine desire to help improve quality of life for others

- Base salary plus commission opportunities

Pay: $35,700.00-$92,634.71 per year
