Your every day with us:
As an Actuarial Analyst for the Capital and Risk Management team, no two days will look the same. You will play a significant role in supporting the company’s risk management efforts and work closely with Blue Cross Life’s various teams. You’ll need strong analytical and communication skills.
As an Actuarial Analyst, you will:
Help develop the Company’s risk management framework, analysis methodology and reporting process to identify, assess, mitigate, manage, and monitor risks;
Conduct stress tests and develop models to quantify key risks;
Help prepare periodic reports for the Board and other key stakeholders;
Support the facilitation of risk awareness, risk identification and risk assessment processes across the organization;
Active monitoring of current and emerging risks within the internal and external environment; and
Help revise and draft new internal policies designed to control and manage risk.
What you need to succeed:
University degree in actuarial science, mathematics or related discipline.
Completion of SOA/CAS exams is considered an asset.
Previous experience in a related role is considered an asset.
Advanced knowledge of Excel and VBA.
Knowledge of AXIS is considered an asset.
Proficient in English.
Bilingualism is considered an asset.
