Position Summary
We are seeking a customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department, coordinating repairs, communicating service recommendations, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This role also includes supporting manufacturer warranty administration and claim processing.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and accurately document service and repair concerns.
- Create, manage, and close repair orders while ensuring all required information is captured.
- Communicate repair recommendations, estimates, and status updates to customers.
- Coordinate workflow between customers, technicians, and the parts department to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Review technician findings and ensure repair documentation is complete and accurate.
- Process customer invoices and explain completed repairs and charges.
- Maintain accurate service records and customer files.
- Assist with scheduling service appointments and managing shop capacity.
- Support Cummins, PACCAR, and other manufacturer warranty processes.
- Assist with warranty claim preparation, documentation review, and claim submission.
- Follow manufacturer and dealership policies regarding warranty administration and repair order compliance.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and work toward timely resolution..
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a service advisor, customer service, administrative, or related role preferred.
- Knowledge of heavy-duty trucks, diesel engines, or transportation industry operations is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
