Position Overview
Defy Martial Arts is seeking a passionate and energetic Taekwondo Instructor to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, inspiring students, and making a positive impact through martial arts instruction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engaging Taekwondo classes for students of various ages and experience levels.
- Teach fundamental and advanced Taekwondo techniques, forms, sparring, and self-defense.
- Create a positive, safe, and motivating training environment.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Reinforce the values of discipline, respect, focus, and perseverance.
- Assist with belt testing, demonstrations, tournaments, and community events.
- Communicate professionally with students, parents, and fellow team members.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2nd Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo.
- Previous teaching, coaching, or leadership experience is preferred.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Positive attitude with the ability to motivate students.
- Evening and weekend availability preferred.
- First Aid/CPR certification is considered an asset.

Schedule
- Additional hours may be available for camps, special events, and demonstrations.

- Probation: A 3-month probation period applies to assess long-term fit.
