Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Gas Station Attendant to join our team for closing shift 4pm -11 pm. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing fuel and convenience store operations, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail setting. Bilingual abilities and experience with retail sales or cashiering are highly valued to better serve our diverse customer base.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with fueling their vehicles efficiently
- Operate POS systems for processing transactions accurately and quickly
- Handle cash, credit, and debit payments with attention to detail and security
- Maintain cleanliness of the store, fuel area, and surrounding premises
- Restock shelves, merchandise products, and ensure product displays are attractive
- Conduct product demos or upselling of store items to enhance sales opportunities
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and resolving issues promptly
- Follow safety procedures to ensure a secure environment for staff and customers
- Manage phone inquiries professionally using proper phone etiquette
- Assist in merchandising efforts to promote sales and store appearance
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred but not required
- Multilingual skills or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Familiarity with POS systems, basic math skills, and cash handling procedures is advantageous
- Strong communication skills, time management, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively are essential
- Experience in technology sales or product demos can be beneficial for promoting store items
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
