Global Pet Foods is currently seeking a Full-Time Store Manager!
As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring our Best-in-Class Customer Service is implemented and adhered to by the team. You will also be responsible for ensuring positive team spirit, culture, and be positive representatives of the Global Pet Foods brand.
The Store Manager will be responsible for team training and daily operations of the store. You will also be responsible for communicating to the Corporate office and report directly to Savika Ganesh, Training & Development Manager. You will be accountable for business operations, team rapport and productivity, and ensuring sales goals are being met.
We are seeking a proactive and motivated individual who demonstrates initiative, takes ownership of their responsibilities, and is capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with available support. The successful candidate will provide leadership, accountability, and guidance to their team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
This role will be provided with a full training program and ongoing support.
General responsibilities for this Store Manager position will include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee daily store operations, including sales, customer service, and inventory management
- Train and supervise store staff, including cashiers and clerks
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and increase profitability
- Conduct interviews and recruit qualified candidates for open positions
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any customer complaints or issues
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Manage cash handling procedures and maintain accurate records
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling and inventory management
- Aim to meet and exceed daily, monthly, and quarterly sales targets. Focus on improving store profitability and work closely with Training & Development Manager to achieve goals
- Ensure communications are up to date with respect to emails and Teams messages
- Effective team building
- Complete and submit required paperwork to head office ensuring important monthly paperwork is submitted in a timely manner to Accounting and Vendor Credit departments
- Ensure monthly donation adjustments are being approved and posted by the last day of the month
- Ensure minimum updates are being checked frequently and accountable for shrink management – items should be entered into the Expiry tracker with a plan prior to expiry date
Skills:
- Strong leadership and management abilities

- Experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred
- Strong organizational skills for administrative tasks
- Ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve goals
