Duties
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to children’s dietary needs, including meal planning and preparation.
- Assist with daily routines such as dressing, bathing, homework help, and bedtime activities to promote independence.
- Engage children in educational activities, playtime, arts and crafts, and age-appropriate teaching to stimulate learning and creativity.
- Maintain a clean and organized living space by performing light cleaning duties related to children’s areas.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing personalized care strategies and providing emotional support.
- Monitor children’s safety at all times, ensuring a secure environment both indoors and outdoors.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about daily activities, progress, and any concerns that arise.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in a caregiving or teaching capacity.
- Knowledge of caregiving best practices for children with disabilities or special needs.
- Strong cooking skills to prepare healthy meals and snacks for children.
- Ability to perform light cleaning tasks to maintain a tidy living environment.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with parents and other caregivers.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly.
- Demonstrated ability to teach basic skills and foster developmental growth through engaging activities.
