Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Foodista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food and beverage preparation, cash handling, and customer engagement. The Barista will be responsible for ensuring a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining food safety standards and operational efficiency.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages using POS systems
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions, and provide exceptional customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and hygiene
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers efficiently without compromising quality
- Restock supplies as needed and assist with basic food preparation tasks
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards and health regulations at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Barista/Foodista or in the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers
- Basic math skills for cash handling, POS transactions, and measuring ingredients
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification is desirable
- Food handling experience is advantageous but not mandatory
