Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled form carpenter and/or Skid Steer Operator to join our concrete flatwork team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment, along with a strong background in various construction-related tasks. This role involves working on diverse projects including concrete forming, grading, compaction, rebar installation and precision and safety awareness in a dynamic environment.
Company vehicle supplied to the right candidate. Must be able to get to and from work with your own vehicle MINIMUM as the work sites are at various locations throughout and surrounding Calgary and area.
Duties
- Operate skid steer loaders and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites.
- Assist with rebar installation, concrete prep work, concrete finishing, and some concrete demolition work.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and schematics to perform tasks related to grading, masonry, renovation, and concrete forming.
- Read blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate execution of project plans.
- Perform heavy lifting and assist with excavating, grading, formwork, rebar install and finishing tasks.
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all safety protocols are followed during operation.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
- Experience in rebar installation, concrete forming, and being a team player.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, elevations, and schematics reading.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading for accurate project execution.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of construction work.

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship
Pay: $28.00-$42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
