We are currently seeking an experienced Shop Foreman to lead our maintenance operations in Seeley’s Bay, Ontario. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines technical expertise with team leadership and fleet management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach, and support a team of technicians and maintenance staff
- Plan, schedule, and prioritize daily maintenance and repair activities
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance on school buses and support vehicles
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed in accordance with company standards, safety requirements, and Ministry regulations
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and compliance documentation
- Coordinate parts procurement, inventory management, and vendor relationships
- Assist with fleet inspections, licensing requirements, and regulatory compliance
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
- Support the Branch Manager in maintaining fleet availability and operational readiness
QualificationsRequired
- Valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician Licence (MANDATORY)
- Minimum 3–5 years of fleet maintenance experience
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair skills
- Thorough knowledge of Ministry of Transportation (MTO) regulations and inspection standards
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently while effectively leading a team
Preferred
- Previous supervisory or shop leadership experience
- Experience working on school buses, commercial vehicles, or transportation fleets
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
