Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our overnight retail team. This role is vital in providing exceptional customer experiences, managing transactions efficiently, and promoting our products. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have a passion for delivering excellent service in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual abilities and experience in retail sales or technical sales are highly valued to better serve our diverse customer base.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their inquiries both in person and over the phone
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling, credit card processing, and returns
- Manage cashier responsibilities including scanning items, applying discounts, and processing payments
- Conduct product demos and upsell items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain merchandising displays and ensure products are well-organized and stocked
- Provide knowledgeable assistance regarding product features, especially in technology sales or related categories
- Handle customer complaints professionally, resolving issues efficiently to ensure satisfaction
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
- Utilize organizational skills to keep the checkout area clean, organized, and efficient
Skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly demeanor
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, cash handling, and basic math skills
- Knowledge of retail sales techniques including upselling and product demos
- Good organizational skills to manage time effectively during busy periods
