Job Title: Communications & Security Field Service Technician

Position Summary
As a Communications & Security Field Service Technician you will be responsible for the installations, troubleshooting and repair of security, cameras/access control devices and any other devices we install and support. Installing, maintaining and repairing cable infrastructure in a low voltage environment in residential, commercial and industrial work places. The ideal candidate will be able to meet the physical demands of the worksite as well as provide excellent customer service. We are looking for career-minded candidates who are willing to learn and grow with the company.
The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements and qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Drivers License
- Have a understanding of the proper use of basic power hand tools tools, power tools, ladders, test equipment and safety procedures
- Be able to work independently on work sites
- Detail oriented
- Have basic computer skills
- Communicate professionally with customer and contractors to set up due dates for residential work
- Working on ladders a must.
Duties and Responsibilities
Install, terminate & test low voltage, Cat 5e and Cat 6 network cabling, various other cables for security and paging systems, in residential and commercial environments
- Install and terminate low voltage security cabling and computer network outlets to industry standards.
- Install, troubleshoot and repair security, cameras/access control devices and any other devices we install and support
- Assist in the installation of network systems, including wallboards, connecting blocks, equipment racks, patch panels, and cable enclosures and corresponding related equipment.
- Properly and professionally enter time and service completed within industry ticketing system.
- Comply with all organization business policies, workflow processes and documentation practices.
Schedule
- Standard work week is Monday to Friday, but occasional weekend work may be required for customer deployments.
