  • Respite Services is an online registry to help facilitate the connection of families/caregivers and respite workers
  • Flexible hours, based around your schedule and family needs
  • Respite workers are considered self employed and are contract workers
  • Rates of pay vary according to contract
  • Casual hours


  • Provide safe and stimulating individualized care and supervision to people with autism/ a developmental disability or physical disability, as requested by the parent/guardian (in home and in the community)
  • Network, facilitate inclusion and act as a positive role model
  • Be punctual and reliable
  • Maintain communication with the Respite Services facilitator and families


  • Demonstrated commitment and care supporting children or adults with autism, developmental or physical disabilities in a support role, and/or relevant education
  • First Aid/CPR is considered an asset.
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Effective communication skills
  • Provide a clear current police vulnerable sector check (PVSC) and references
  • Attend an Information Session and Submit References
