Responsibilities
Keeping financial records and maintaining various accounts using computerized bookkeeping systems.
Posting journal entries and reconciling accounts
Preparing trial balances, maintaining general ledgers, and assisting with financial statements;
Processing payroll and preparing payments for utility, tax, and other bills;
Completing and submitting tax remittances, workers' compensation, pension contributions, and other government forms;
Preparing tax returns and bookkeeping records;
Preparing statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
Participates in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and addressing any discrepancies.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications
Completion of post secondary studies in Accounting Technology, Bookkeeping or a related field.
3 years progressive experience in accounting.
Strong skills in data analysis.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
Proficient with accounting tools and software including QuickBooks online. Experience with DEXT, PayEdge and Express is an asset.
Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel.
Experience with payroll legislation and payroll processing.
Experience working in a regulated or compliance focused organization is an asset.

Forrest Green Solutions Limited is hiring a Bookkeeper. The company's head office is located in Richmond Hill, Ontario, at 10520 Yonge Street, Unit 35, Suite 322. The successful candidate will be based in Ottawa, Ontario and will work in a hybrid environment.
