About the Role- Dishwasher
Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Dishwasher is responsible for washing, drying, and putting away all dishes, pots, pans, and cutlery used during guest and staff meal services. The Dishwasher is also responsible for properly sweeping and mopping the kitchen at the end of each shift and assisting with putting away kitchen deliveries as needed.
Shifts may include 8:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m., 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., and 5:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m. Employees may be scheduled for a combination of these shifts. Must be able to work weekdays/evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Clean dishes / pots / utensils / silverware to resort standards and stock in back and in kitchen prior to and after each meal.
- The opening and closing of the dishwasher and pot sinks.
- To ensure the floor is kept clean and free of water.
- To ensure all food particles and waste is removed from dishwasher/sinks.
- Sweeping and mopping of Kitchen. (Moving items to clean underneath them, cleaning mop sink when finished mopping)
- Cleaning of the staff dining room.
- Transport food orders to storage in basement when needed.
- To keep a watchful eye on dish inventory.
