This is a full-time, on-site Salesperson role based in Markham, ON. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying prospective clients and building strong, lasting relationships within key sectors, specifically supermarkets, restaurants, and wholesale channels.
In this role, you will present our product/service offerings, negotiate deals, and consistently meet or exceed sales targets. Additional tasks include maintaining accurate records of client interactions, providing exceptional customer service, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure client needs are fully met.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Expansion: Active prospecting and lead generation within the food service, restaurant, grocery/supermarket, and wholesale industries across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with restaurant owners, supermarket buyers, and wholesale distributors.
- Sales Execution: Present product offerings effectively, conduct tastings/demos if required, negotiate pricing and contracts, and close sales to meet targets.
- Account Maintenance: Provide exceptional after-sales support, handle client inquiries, and manage re-orders to ensure high customer retention.
- Strategy & Collaboration: Participate in developing and implementing targeted sales plans for different channels; collaborate with logistics and inventory teams to ensure seamless delivery.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Channel Experience: Proven sales experience specifically dealing with supermarkets, restaurants, or the wholesale sector is highly preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the local food/beverage or consumer goods distribution landscape in Toronto.
- Communication Skills: Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with diverse business owners and corporate buyers.
- Results-Driven: Self-motivated with a track record of meeting or exceeding B2B sales targets.
- Mobility: Must have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for client visits across the region.
- Language: Proficiency in English is required; fluency in other languages (e.g. Korean, Mandarin) is an asset given the diverse market in Toronto.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
