Job Overview
Little Lights is a Christian values-centered organization seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our growing team! We provide individualized, play-based support for children and families across home, school, community, and clinical settings.
The ideal candidate will work closely with children to support communication, emotional regulation, social development, independence, and positive behavioural outcomes while partnering with families and multidisciplinary teams.
Duties
- Implement individualized behaviour and skill-building programs based on each child’s goals
- Support development in communication, emotional regulation, social skills, independence, and daily living skills
- Collect and document data on progress, behaviours, and goal achievement
- Provide support during educational, community, and therapeutic activities
- Use positive reinforcement and play-based strategies to encourage learning and engagement
- Collaborate with families, teachers, therapists, and other professionals
- Assist with community outings, life skills, and confidence-building activities when appropriate
- Maintain professional documentation and session notes
- Ensure a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment for all children
Qualifications
- Experience working with children, autism support, education, behaviour intervention, respite, or related fields is preferred (training provided for the right candidate)
- Passion for supporting children and helping them reach their potential
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to collect data and maintain accurate documentation
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience with AAC, emotional regulation, social skills programming, or behavioural support is an asset

Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Abbotsford, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Education:
- Secondary School (required)
Experience:
- Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
