Dental Administrator Position in Edmonton, AB!
We're looking for a committed and polished Dental administrator to become part of our staff. The right person will serve as the initial contact for patients, delivering outstanding service while handling multiple office duties. This position calls for solid knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) platforms. The Front Desk Agent will be essential in maintaining efficient daily operations throughout our medical facility or clinic.
Duties:
- Greet and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage patient scheduling, including appointments and follow-ups
- Perform insurance verification and collect necessary medical information from patients.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, utilizing multi-line phone systems to manage incoming calls effectively.
- Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and maintaining organized patient records.
- Assist in the review of care plans and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow and service delivery.
- Uphold confidentiality standards while managing sensitive patient information.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, effectively multi-task and communicate clearly and concisely to patients.
Requirements:
- Familiarity with systems such as Dentrix, Recall Max and Microsoft Word is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance processes, and coding.
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus for enhancing patient communication.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.

- Minimum of 2 Saturdays a month required.
