Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Property Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist in managing financial records for various properties, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements.
- Perform account reconciliations, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support financial planning.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and variances in property performance.
- Support regulatory reporting requirements as needed, including tax experience for compliance.
- Maintain general ledger accounting by posting journal entries and managing accrual accounting tasks.
- Budget preparation
- Assist with auditing processes and prepare documentation for external auditors.
Experience
- A degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with financial concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, financial report writing, and interpretation.
- Experience with accounting software (Yardi, Buildium, QuickBooks, Quicken, PeopleSoft, Sage, or Xero) is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of corporate finance principles, governmental accounting practices, and non-profit accounting is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes.
- Understanding of securities law, wills, trusts & estate law can be beneficial but is not required.

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
