Some of what you will do
As the Vendor Compliance Analyst, you will be responsible for the reduction in supply chain expenses through continuous improvement utilizing compliance policies at Staples. You will be responsible for investigating and reporting on all compliance opportunities (vendor chargebacks, fill rate, late purchase orders, etc.). You will also support company objectives to improve compliance KPI’s and resolve vendor inquiries with your excellent communication skills. You will be inspired to bring your best every day and make your mark.
Specifically, you will:
Assisting vendors to understand Staples Canada’s compliance policies and expectations relating to product fulfillment in all channels
Gaining alignment with internal stakeholders on required steps to address vendor non-compliant issues.
Analyse data to track program and vendor performance.
Be the subject matter expert for all compliance related opportunities and take care of all inquiries from internal and external customers
Ensure full compliance with all Provincial Stewardship programs through data gathering and reporting.
Collaborate and communicate effectively the concerns and questions from vendors, reducing compliance opportunities while maintaining a healthy relationship with our partners.
Develop and communicate a KPI scorecard for vendor compliance and common issues.
Create action plans and partner with vendors as required to prevent identified problems from reoccurring
Partner with vendors on outstanding purchase orders.
Partner with the Merchandising group, Vendors, and the Distribution/Fulfillment Centers and retail stores to resolve vendor disputes.
Some of what you need
1-3 years prior experience in a Supply Chain or related vendor compliance related role is preferred.
Post-Secondary education with a focus on retail management, inventory or supply chain is an asset.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI), SQL and VBA.
