Position Overview

SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Clinical Director of Perioperatives Services/FBC, the Clinical Manager is accountable for the coordination, delivery and evaluation of patient care services, including quality and risk management for his services, in harmony with the mission and values of the Hospital. The Clinical Manager is responsible for the management of all aspects of the operations of his services, ensuring safe, efficient and effective quality patient care and the deployment of human, fiscal and material resources. He/she will ensure the use of best practices and clinical standards, foster effective working and sustainable relationship with employees and medical staff, across the organization.

Education and experience
Bachelor's degree in Nursing
Master in nursing, business or health administration would be considered an asset

Experience
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a management position in a hospital or a community health organization, or equivalent.
Relevant experience in clinical care for perioperative services and family birthing center (FBC) will be considered an asset.
Member of the College of Nurses of Ontario or current registration with relevant professional college
Background that demonstrates a series of progressive career moves with increasing responsibility and complexity

Criminal Check
As a pre-condition of employment, all new HGH employees will be required to obtain and provide a satisfactory Police Records Check dated within six (6) months from the date of issue.
