Role Overview: We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Recruiter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for identifying and attracting young talent, including students and recent graduates, who have the potential to thrive in the startups we support. The Recruiter will play a crucial role in building a pipeline of high-potential candidates and facilitating their placement in our portfolio companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Talent Sourcing: Develop and implement strategies to source young talent, including university students and recent graduates, through various channels such as career fairs, university partnerships, online job boards, and social media.
- Candidate Engagement: Build relationships with potential candidates, providing them with information about opportunities within our portfolio companies and guiding them through the recruitment process.
- Screening and Interviewing: Conduct initial screenings, interviews, and assessments to evaluate candidates' skills, experiences, and potential fit with startup environments.
- Collaboration with Startups: Work closely with our portfolio companies to understand their hiring needs and provide them with qualified candidates.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust pipeline of high-potential candidates and ensure timely and effective communication throughout the recruitment process.
- Employer Branding: Promote Tacenda Capital and our portfolio companies as attractive destinations for young talent by showcasing our unique value propositions and success stories.
- Data Management: Utilize applicant tracking systems and other tools to manage candidate data and track recruitment metrics.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in recruitment, preferably with a focus on early-career talent or university recruiting.
- Strong understanding of the startup ecosystem and a passion for entrepreneurship.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with candidates and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and recruitment tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with or recruiting for startups.
- Knowledge of the Canadian education system and student organizations.
- Proficiency in using social media and other digital platforms for recruitment.
