Our client, a major real estate developer in the Lower Mainland, is seeking a Site Superintendent for a large concrete tower project in Coquitlam. Specializing in concrete high-rise and wood-frame townhouse projects, our client is a leader in the real estate development industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Senior Site Superintendent in overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Supervise and coordinate site activities, including managing subcontractors, trades, and suppliers.
- Monitor quality control, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
- Ensure the project site is organized, clean, and compliant with all safety regulations.
- Assist in managing and tracking project progress, including reporting on key performance metrics.
- Coordinate site meetings, prepare progress reports, and communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Resolve site issues and ensure that any challenges are addressed efficiently.
- Assist with the planning and scheduling of work, ensuring efficient use of labor and resources.
- Contribute to the training and development of junior staff on-site.
- Promote a positive and productive team environment.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Assistant or full Site Superintendent on concrete high-rise projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, project management, and scheduling software.
- Experience working with large-scale concrete construction projects.
- Ability to lead teams, manage multiple tasks, and handle the pressures of fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with subcontractors, clients, and internal teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding construction drawings and specifications.
