We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional front desk support, manage electronic medical records, and assist with administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations. Experience with dental and medical office environments, along with proficiency in relevant software systems, is highly desirable. Duties
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner at the front desk
- Manage multi-line phone systems, schedule appointments, and coordinate patient flow
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records using systems such as Epic and Dentrix
- Verify patient insurance information and assist with billing processes
- Prepare and update patient charts, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations
- Assist with administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and document management
- Support clinical staff by handling administrative duties related to patient care
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
- Handle correspondence and communication with patients via phone, email, or mail
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical office Assistant is necessary
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Accuro
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
- Proven experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment or medical office setting
- Office experience involving front desk responsibilities and multi-line phone systems is essential
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
