About the Position
Crystal Fountains is seeking an experienced Electrical Assembler to join our Manufacturing Operations team. This hands-on role focuses on PCB soldering, LED lighting assembly, electrical wiring, cable assemblies, testing, and general mechanical assembly used in architectural water feature products.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembly & Soldering: Perform through-hole PCB soldering, component installation, and assemble LED lighting products, sub-assemblies, cables, and connectors.
- Technical Interpretation: Read and follow electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
- Testing & Inspection: Conduct continuity, polarity, and basic functional testing using a multimeter. Inspect completed work for quality and report defects.
- Compliance & Standards: Follow ESD, safety, quality protocols, and support 5S / continuous improvement activities.
- Documentation & Teamwork: Complete production logs and cross-train across general assembly, inspection, and packaging as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on electrical assembly and PCB soldering in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Proven ability to read schematics/drawings and use soldering equipment, crimping tools, hand tools, and multimeters.
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail, excellent manual dexterity, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Legal: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Successful candidates must be able to provide proof of eligibility at time of hire.
English Communication Requirements
- Strong English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills are required.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical documentation, procedures, specifications, and work instructions in English.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and customers in a professional environment.
- Ability to accurately document work, prepare reports, and maintain records in English.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform detailed assembly and soldering work for extended periods.
- Ability to sit or stand as required by the operation.
- Manual dexterity to handle small electronic components.
- Ability to safely lift and handle production materials.
Practical Skills Assessment
Qualified candidates may be required to complete a hands-on practical assessment. This will evaluate PCB soldering, electrical wiring, cable termination, multimeter testing, schematic reading, and defect identification.
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
