WHAT YOU DO
As an Integration Software Developer, you’ll use your .Net development skills to help the company integrate with customers and internal systems. The main focus of this role is automating order processing and data exchange between Stormtech and Stormtech’s customers, primarily via EDI, database queries and web API calls. You’ll also have an opportunity to build new integration services, participate in larger ERP integration projects, and contribute to decision making. Clear written and verbal communication skills are very important in this role, as it involves direct communication with customers and business stakeholders.
The Details
- Maintain and extend Stormtech’s enterprise integration platform, following established architectural patterns (.Net Micro Services & MySQL on Azure)
- Collaborate with Stormtech’s customers & internal business stakeholders to recommend and adapt integration solutions
- Work with customers, EDI VAN, and internal stakeholders to test integrations and ensure smooth go-live
- Build and deploy new micro service integrations as needed to address business needs
- Maintain and monitor existing integrations, troubleshooting and escalating data issues as needed
- Maintain and improve technical documentation, sharing knowledge with team members
- Contribute to continually improving development processes, tools, and standards
- Provide technical expertise including benefits, impacts, and rough estimates to support decision making
- Develop a deep understanding and knowledge of Stormtech’s business processes.
WHO YOU ARE
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
- 3+ years’ professional experience as a software developer
- Proven experience building API-based integrations
- Technical skills: C# .Net, SQL queries, Architectural patterns, preferably in the integration space, Web services (SOAP and REST), OOP, DI
- Solid working knowledge of ITSM best practices such as ITIL service activities related to release management and testing activities
- Background in both Agile & Waterfall methodologies
- Strong background in developing, administering and supporting integration solutions in an enterprise environment
- Previous experience with Boomi or Mulesoft
The following skill sets are desired, but not essential for the role:
- Experience with Azure (service bus, load balancer, MySQL)
- Experience integrating with ERPs, ideally in a distribution environment
- Knowledge of EDI standards, systems, and administration
