Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Woodworker specializing in shelving to join our manufacturing and custom carpentry team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing high-quality shelves that meet precise specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of woodworking techniques. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication of shelving units
- Apply laminates precisely, without bubbling
- Operate a variety of hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, assemble, and finish wood components
- Measure materials precisely and perform layout work according to project specifications
- Assemble shelves with attention to structural integrity and aesthetic quality
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards at all times
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other tradespeople to meet project deadlines and quality expectations
- Conduct quality inspections on finished products to ensure they meet design specifications and durability standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in woodworking, cabinetry, or custom shelving fabrication
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, chisels, drills, and measuring devices
- Familiarity with power tools including sliding table saws, planers, routers for precise cutting and shaping
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor safely over extended periods
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on craftsmanship quality
- Effective communication skills for collaborating within diverse teams

Pay: $17.60-$19.00 per hour
