Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Metal Worker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and inspecting metal components using a variety of machinery and hand tools. This role requires mechanical aptitude, precision, and the ability to interpret technical drawings to produce high-quality metal parts and assemblies.
Duties Include:
- Operate a brake on-site and in the shop to complete building envelope jobs, such as wrapping posts, creating trims.
- Help sales and operations with solutions for clients, and then design, create and install the solution.
- Use hand tools such as calipers, measuring tapes, and other precision instruments for quality inspection and measurement.
- Responsible for installing and maintaining high-quality metal roofs, specifically standing seam systems, for clients.
- Nice to have - Perform welding tasks using various welding techniques to join metal parts securely.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to maintain high standards of craftsmanship.
- Assist in assembly processes by fitting parts together according to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and proper equipment handling procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience with brakes, and be able to create metal designs from sheet metal using basic tools.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as calipers, measuring devices, and basic math skills for precise measurements.
- Physical ability to handle heavy materials and stand for extended periods during shifts.
