Warehouse Shipping Supervisor

Position Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Department: Warehouse
Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Position Summary: Oversees all Shipping functions of the Ennis Fabrics Distribution Centre.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leadership and motivation of the Distribution Centre Staff.
- Ability to take over the Managers position when the manager is not available
- Notify and train staff on company procedures
- Know all positions to be able to step in to help when and where help is needed.
- Trouble Shooting – identify the problems and come up with a solution
- Being pro-active by seeking out better ways to increase productivity and reduce errors
- Involvement in meetings with employees to discuss problems and concerns
- Involved in the progressive discipline process
- Involved in the recruitment of employees
- Involved in the scheduling of the employees
- Quality control – Ensure all products meet Ennis Fabrics standards
- Interacts professionally with all departments and branches
- Inventory control- Involved in the cycle count procedure including the investigation of overages and shortages
- Responsible for dealing with carriers and rectifying any shipping/Receiving problems
- Be involved in the process for evaluating employee’s job performance and giving yearly performance appraisal
- Overall cleanliness, organization and safety of the entire operation.
- Responsible for keeping the flow moving by assigning resources where needed to ensure that all departments hit our SLA’s set up for both Receiving and Shipping.

Education:
- Grade 12 Education or Equivalent
Experience:
- Minimum 5 Years Warehouse Experience
- Minimum 2 Years Supervisory Experience
Working Conditions:
- Physical/Hands on position
- Warehouse environment
- Fast paced environment
- Must be able to stand for entire day
- Must be able to lift 70lbs.
