Promote and sell Forbo Flooring Systems products in Toronto and area, as part of the Central Canadian Region. Through training and experience, the Technical Sales Advisor will use his or her broad knowledge and excellent sales skills to advise and encourage specification and application of Forbo products with all relevant stakeholders, but with a strong emphasis on target end-users and architecture and design community.
Essential Functions
Business Development:
- To generate specifications through relationship selling to target end-users, architectural and design community.
- To prepare, organize and present product knowledge sessions, to deliver provided CEU presentations and other commercial marketing vehicles to relevant stakeholders in the effort to create demand.
- To comfortably call on General Contractors as it pertains to specific project types.
- To fully utilize the provided Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, as a tool to create, secure and follow through on specifications.
- To call on and service limited flooring sub-contractor accounts as required.
relationship management:
- Will need to participate in local industry trade shows and events, where direct networking with architects, designers, end-users, and their consultants are an opportunity to generate further sales growth.
- Will provide installation support to as required to the trade in conjunction with Forbo sales colleagues and Product Support and Education Services. Perform job site support, as required, before/during and after install within Forbo 360 philosophy.
- Be able to resolve customer issues by investigating problems, developing solutions, and making recommendations to management.
- Will provide sales support including site visits for maintenance target end-users.
- Be an active and engaged team player, making a positive contribution to the regional and national sales results.
administration:
- To establish own travel schedules, set up appointments, meetings, and manage own general work environment.
- To maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies and trade organizations.
- Keep management informed by keeping projects updated on provided CRM system and monthly project meetings.
