Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager/Estimator to join our team. This role involves overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, preparing accurate estimates, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project estimates by analyzing blueprints, schematics, and construction documents using software such as HeavyBid and Construction estimating tools
- Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project planning
- Utilize construction management software like ProCore, Primavera P6, Civil 3D, and Bluebeam for project scheduling, tracking, and documentation
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to establish project timelines and budgets
- Manage project scope, schedule, resources, and risks to ensure successful delivery
- Prepare bid proposals and assist in contract negotiations
- Monitor project progress through regular site visits and meetings; adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes throughout all phases of the project
- Maintain detailed records of project activities, costs, and changes for reporting purposes
Skills
- Strong proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction documentation
- Experience with construction estimating software such as HeavyBid or similar tools
- Familiarity with industry-standard construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Civil 3D
- Knowledge of construction processes, scheduling techniques, and project management principles
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in civil or heavy construction projects is preferred but not mandatory
