About the Role:
This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant at K.K. CPA. Reporting to the Senior Accountant, you will primarily be responsible for managing client relationships, identifying tax consulting opportunities, reviewing working paper files, and corporate and personal tax returns.
Location: Hamilton, Ontario
What You'll Do:
- Build effective working relationships with clients, seek to understand their business environment, and respond effectively to client requests
- Recognize and anticipate client issues and risks assesses alternative solutions and take appropriate actions under the direction of a Partner
- Apply technical knowledge and research in formulating client and firm related recommendations
- Prepare client files including Notice to Readers and Review Engagements
- Prepare personal (T1) and corporate (T2) tax returns
- Perform various analysis and prepare account reconciliations
- Prepare and review financial statements
- Perform bookkeeping services for clients including software assistance and set-up
- Other related duties as assigned
What you Bring:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting and/or working towards a CPA.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CaseWare, Profile, and QuickBooks / QuickBooks Online
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including Canadian tax laws and audits.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-first approach.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
