Reporting to the Senior Financial Officer, the Finance & Administration Assistant is responsible for providing exceptional finance and administrative support to the Foundation's finance and development services functions.
As a member of the Foundation team, the Finance & Administration Assistant provides important day-to-day support to the work of the Foundation, with a primary focus on procurement and accounts payable, financial reporting and support, and office administration. This role suits a well-organized individual with experience in bookkeeping and use of finance systems, as well as general office and administrative processes.
All Foundation staff serve as representatives for the Foundation and the hospital, and will work to ensure individuals and organizations with affinity to our overall cause will be engaged and inspired to support the mission, vision and values of both organizations.
University Degree or College Diploma in accounting or office administration to 5 years of relevant work experience
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Ability to apply resolve conflict within the work environment
Advanced level proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
Experience with Financial Edge (FE) and Raisers Edge (RE) software
Familiar with organizational online banking and payments capabilities such as wire payment, electronic fund transfers
Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
Background working in Healthcare or Charitable Sector preferred

Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
