We are a growing organization and currently looking for a passionate and motivated System Analyst, Transportation Systems to join our winning team.

Working with the IT and the Business Transportation Teams the Systems Analyst will partner to help set priorities and plan the development/implementation of system installs, upgrades and enhancements to ensure smooth functionality of the transportation systems (primarily TruckMate). This role is also accountable to provide day to day technical support on transportation system needs.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate with other business units the integration between TruckMate and other internal systems including WMS, EDI, and ERP systems
Interface with other stakeholders in IT, finance, and operations for system enhancements and upgrades
Assists in business process redesign and improvement efforts
Manages and streamlines the support process by providing TruckMate application Tier 2 support, triaging support tickets, managing and analyzing issues, and recommending fixes and solutions
Assists with developing and executing software application test plans and scripts
Documents and outlines business processes, application workflows, system components, high-level architectures and integrations points as necessary
Train users in existing or new functionality in order to maximize their system's potential and usability
Mandatory participation in the after-hours on call rotation

Must have experience supporting or implementing Tier 1/Tier 2 Transportation Management Systems
Experience with TMW TruckMate is a plus
Previous experience integrating TMS solutions is a plus
Hands-on experience in application integration, writing/running SQL queries, data extraction
Strong knowledge of MS SQL database management T-SQL and a broad knowledge of software programming and capability
Nice to have DB2 knowledge
Experience with Crystal Report IX or higher or other reporting tools an asset
Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into system and operational solutions
Experienced in Project Management

University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Systems
Formal training must be augmented with a demonstrated knowledge of Transportation industry

Ability to design processes for new functionality within transportation operations
Strong interpersonal skills, with emphasis on understanding business processes and supporting team members to troubleshoot and solve system issues
Stays current on technology research, trends and issues in the information technology field, to the extent possible when technological prospects are developing at blinding speed
Continuous learning of new skills and technology knowledge through courses, seminars and selected readings
Knowledge of project management and software release process methodology (SDLC)
Works well in large team structures and working with team members in remote locations
Delivers quality and satisfactory customer service
