Job Summary
This position handles daily shipping and receiving, including verifying shipments, coordinating carriers, preparing goods for shipment, and maintaining accurate records. The role also supports shop production and inventory control while ensuring the warehouse and yard remain organized and secure. This is a high paced role and we welcome candidates who are willing to rapidly grow their skills and abilities, or experienced individuals seeking a stable, hands-on role, with a higher earning potential than typical shipping/receiving positions based on the ability to take on additional responsibilities and expand skill sets.

Pay: $20-$28/hr
Shipping & Receiving
- Ship and receive parts and materials daily
- Verify shipment contents against manifests, invoices, and orders
- Coordinate carriers based on customer requirements, including obtaining quotes
- Pack and prepare goods for shipments using hand and power tools, weigh items and track shipping costs
- Resolve discrepancies (delays, damage, weight, quality, etc.)
- Move materials within the facility using forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, and carts
- Order and maintain shipping supplies
- Ensure daily pickups and notify customers and carriers by phone or email
- Accurately receive and tag incoming products and scan documentation
- Deliver or pick up goods as required
Computer Systems
- Perform all shipping and receiving functions within company systems
- Prepare documentation (work orders, bills of lading, shipping orders)
- Update status of inbound/outbound shipments and production orders
- Record shipment data (weight, quality, timeliness)
- Perform inventory counts and adjustments
- Regularly perform safety tasks and reporting in our safety management system including hazard identification, near miss and behaviour observations.
Production Support
- Assemble hydraulic and industrial hoses, including crimping, pressure testing, scribing, and completing test certificates
- Assist with shop production (belt cutting, lacing, and equipment operation)
- Maintain cleanliness of warehouse including sweeping, metal recycling, organization, and clean-up
- Participate in safety committees, hazard assessments, and the 8 am stretch and flex.
Warehousing
- Maintain accurate inventory of incoming, stored, and outgoing goods, including available space
- Organize and maintain warehouse and yard (cleaning, tidying, snow removal)
- Ensure warehouse, yard, and vehicles are secured at the end of each day
- Perform inventory counts and adjustments
- Ensure all facility garbage and recycling is emptied into bins weekly and coordinate additional pickups with waste management services
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, and manual manipulation
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
- Use of PPE, including steel-toed boots, safety glasses, gloves, aprons, hearing protection, and respirators
