Position Summary
Youth Connections is seeking a motivated and organized Human Resources Representative to join our team. The HR Representative will support all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, policy administration, training coordination, performance management, and maintaining employee records. This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about building a positive workplace culture and supporting staff success.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including posting vacancies, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and assisting with hiring.
- Facilitate employee onboarding and orientation.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Support employee relations by responding to HR inquiries and assisting with workplace issues.
- Administer HR policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
- Coordinate training and professional development opportunities.
- Assist with performance review processes.
- Support payroll and benefits administration by working closely with finance and benefit providers.
- Prepare HR reports and maintain documentation.
- Participate in health and safety initiatives and organizational planning.
- Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Human Resources.
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation is considered an asset.
- Minimum of 2 years of human resources experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in a non-profit or community services environment is considered an asset.
