Customer Service & Administrative Assistant
Location: Durham, ON (West Grey)
Candue Homes 2020 Ltd is looking for an organized, customer-focused individual to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in customer service, accounts payable and residential construction. An eye for design and home finishes is considered a strong asset. You'll be the first point of contact for homeowners while providing administrative support throughout the home building process.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to homeowners before, during and after construction.
- Coordinate and manage after-sales service and warranty requests.
- Answer phones, greet visitors and respond to customer inquiries.
- Assist with Accounts Payable
- Assist with scheduling trades, deliveries and service appointments.
- Help clients with interior selections and design choices when required.
- Maintain homeowner files, construction documentation, financial files and office records.
- Support WSIB administration, health and safety documentation and company compliance requirements.
- Assist with truck licensing, permits and general office administration.
- Work closely with the construction team to ensure clear communication and an outstanding customer experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service and office administration.
- Experience with accounts payable.
- Knowledge of residential construction, new home building or interior design is considered a strong asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- A self-starter with a proactive attitude who can identify what needs to be done and take initiative without waiting for direction.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and is comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with office staff, trades, suppliers and homeowners.
- Proficient with Quickbooks, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with Buildertrend is an asset but not required
- Positive, professional and customer-focused with a strong work ethic and a willingness to jump in wherever needed.
