As a New Home HVAC Finals Technician, you will be responsible for completing the final HVAC work in newly constructed and renovated homes. You will work independently in homes nearing completion, completing finishing work, identifying deficiencies, performing system checks, and ensuring our installations meet Weiss-Johnson's quality standards.
This is a great position for someone with residential HVAC experience who enjoys troubleshooting, working independently, and seeing a job through to completion.

Hourly Rate: $24.00-$30.00
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete HVAC finals in newly constructed residential homes
- Install and finish registers, grilles, thermostats, and other HVAC components
- Complete furnace and HVAC system start-up and operational checks
- Check airflow and verify proper system operation
- Identify and correct installation deficiencies
- Perform minor sheet metal and ductwork modifications as required
- Troubleshoot furnace, ventilation, controls, and airflow issues
- Complete HRV/ERV finishing and commissioning work where applicable
- Ensure mechanical rooms and HVAC installations are clean, complete, and professionally presented
- Review work against job specifications and company quality standards
- Document deficiencies and completed work
- Coordinate with supervisors, builders, and other trades when required
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicle
- Follow all company safety procedures and residential construction site requirements
What we look for:
- 3 years’ experience in HVAC heating finals.
- Experience with new home construction is a strong asset
- Experience on wiring thermostats, HRV’s and furnace’s.
- Sheet metal or HVAC apprenticeship experience is an asset
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple homes throughout the day
- Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Comfortable working with furnaces, HRVs/ERVs, thermostats, controls, ductwork, and residential HVAC equipment
- Ability to communicate professionally with builders, supervisors, other trades, and homeowners
- Ability to work in a fast paced and crew environment
- Own basic hand tools
Other required qualifications:
- Valid trade ticket
- Valid class 5 drivers license with a clean commercial driving record
- WHMIS
- CSTS
- TDG
