This role ensures that the "hands-on" work aligns with the production schedule set by the Plant Manager.

- Daily Workflow Coordination: Actively participate in production while directing the team’s daily tasks. Ensure that work orders move smoothly from cutting to stitching to the press.
- Technical Mentorship: Provide "on-the-tool" training and coaching for team members. Perform competency checks and assist stitchers and cutters with complex grain matching or difficult flitches.
- Quality Control (First-Off Inspection): Conduct real-time inspections of veneer faces and pressed panels. Ensure grain flow and pattern matching meet shop standards before the team proceeds with large runs.
- Equipment Setup & Troubleshooting: Lead the setup of guillotine cutters, stitchers, and presses. Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues or glue-spread inconsistencies to minimize downtime.
- Material Utilization: Monitor flitch yields and waste. Ensure the team is maximizing material usage and accurately labeling/storing leftover veneer.

- Spatial Reasoning: Ability to look at a raw flitch and visualize the most efficient layout for specific work orders.
- Communication: Clear ability to explain technical tasks to junior staff and relay operational needs to management.
4.0 SAFETY
- Floor-Level Compliance: Ensure all team members are using safety guards, PPE, and following lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures during setups.

- Incident Response: Act as the first point of contact for any safety concerns on the floor, reporting immediately to the Plant Manager.
SHIFT:Monday to Friday: 0700 to 1530 (1/2 hour lunch break)
