Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist the Chef de Cuisine and Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking.
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring efficient teamwork and adherence to recipes and standards.
- Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety, sanitation, and compliance with health regulations.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of dishes.
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage stock rotation.
- Ensure all dishes meet quality standards before serving to guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Support menu development and contribute creative ideas for new dishes or specials.
- Uphold exceptional food presentation standards consistent with brand expectations.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Extensive restaurant management experience preferred, with knowledge of kitchen workflows.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper handling procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to serve as a role model for staff.
- Experience working in the food industry, particularly within a restaurant environment.
- Familiarity with hospitality standards and customer service excellence.
