Hiring: Behavioral Aide (FSDC Contract) – McKenzie Lake
We are looking for a behavioral aide to support our twin 5-year-old boys in our home and community.Our boys are non-verbal, energetic, full of personality and big feelings. Location: McKenzie Lake (SE Calgary) Pay: FSDC rate Hours: 12–15 hours/week(Afternoon sessions – approx. 2–3 hours per day, flexible scheduling)
Start Date: End of Aug- Ongoing position (not seasonal)⸻
Role Includes: Supporting daily routines and structured play Attending and participating in afternoon community sessions Working 1:1 with one child at a time, alongside another aide (alternating days with the boys or working together depending on the session) Collaborating with our team: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Occupational Therapist (OT) Behavioral Therapist Implementing strategies and goals set by the therapy team.
Requirements:**** MUST drive and have access to a reliable vehicle Comfortable transporting children and the other aide to sessions daily. This is mandatory ***
Patient, energetic, and able to keep up with active kids Open to learning and following structured support strategies Experience with autism or special needs is a strong asset (but not required for the right fit) Opportunity for additional respite hours if desired.
Aug 7-17 for training (mornings or afternoons -flexible)
Start date - Aug 27th
Hours: After school 4pm start and occasional weekends.
