Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Kitchen Supervisor/Cook to oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure high-quality food preparation, and maintain exceptional customer service standards. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Oversee food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to comply with safety regulations
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor stock to minimize waste
- Train new staff members on food preparation techniques, safety standards, and POS systems such as Micros POS
- Ensure timely service delivery while maintaining high customer satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems and manage cash handling procedures
- Monitor kitchen cleanliness and organization, ensuring compliance with health codes
- Assist in interviewing and onboarding new team members as needed
- Lead by example in providing excellent customer service and fostering a positive team environment
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations
- Strong supervisory and team management skills with prior restaurant or hospitality management experience
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Excellent leadership abilities with experience in supervising staff, including interviewing and training new employees
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Experience in restaurant management or hotel food services is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory, schedules, and workflow effectively
- Previous barista or serving experience is a plus for versatile team support
