Shift: Monday to Friday 4:30am or 5:00am start time
The starting pay range for the role is $20.04-22.08 based on experience and qualifications. Plus bonus, comprehensive benefits, retirement savings plan, paid vacation, and other perks and opportunities.
Job Scope:
Reporting to the Shred & Grate department supervisor, this position operates packaging/sealing equipment, as well as provides relief coverage in other areas of the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate cheese making packaging/sealing machinery in the Manufacturing Department
- Ensure integrity product and weight
- Monitor and perform routine checks of systems to ensure machinery is running smoothly
- Cross-train to learn how to use equipment and machinery in various areas of the plant
- Provide relief coverage for other machine operators/plant helpers
- Food Safety & Quality responsibility as outlined in SOPs & other training materials provided and accurate record keeping
- Other duties as assigned by Management
Qualifications:
- Mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting ability
- Good communication/interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team
- Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task
- Physically capable of performing the demands of the job
- Must be punctual and diligent
- Computer skills and experience working with automated machinery
- Flexible to cover various shifts, vacation or illness relief as required
- Valid drivers licence and reliable means of transportation
