We are seeking a Part Time Shop Labourer/Wash Bay Attendant who is aspiring to reach their potential in the field of heavy equipment repair and maintenance, reporting to the Operations and Administration Supervisor. J-AAR Assets and Logistics is responsible for repairing and maintaining vehicles, trucks, and heavy equipment in support of our aggregate, concrete, asphalt, and heavy civil divisions.
Environment
The Part Time Shop Labourer/Wash Bay Attendant will play a pivotal role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our wash bay and shop. The individual will be responsible for washing equipment and vehicles according to established procedures, ensuring quality control, and maintaining cleanliness of the wash bay area and shop. Additionally, they will be tasked with the upkeep of wash bay equipment and cleanliness of shop to ensure smooth operations.
Wage: $21.00 per hour
Hours: Maximum - 20 hours per week including Saturdays
How you will make an IMPACT
- Wash, clean and sanitize vehicles and equipment using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
- Demonstrated ability of moving large and small heavy equipment and vehicles in and out of wash bay (training provided)
- Maintain quality control standards for units leaving the wash bay, ensuring company expectations are met
- Maintain overall cleanliness of wash bay including, floors, walls, drains, cleaning agents, and tools of the trade
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Perform regular checks to ensure all equipment/tools are in proper working order
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and request reorder, as needed
- Maintain power washer pumps and soap cannon pumps according to the required service intervals
- Assist with shop clean up
- Other duties as assigned
